Everything you want to know before we talk.
If you have a question that isn't answered here, just reach out — I'm always happy to chat.
Getting Started
It's a relaxed, no-pressure conversation — usually 20–30 minutes. I want to learn about your history with fitness, your current goals, what's worked for you before, and what hasn't. By the end, we'll both have a clear sense of whether we're a good fit and what a program might look like for you. There's no sales pitch and no obligation.
Absolutely not. I work with complete beginners, former athletes returning after years away, and everyone in between. The whole point of individualized coaching is that we start exactly where you are — not where you think you should be.
That's exactly what the free consultation is for. After we talk, I'll recommend the program that makes the most sense for your goals, schedule, and lifestyle. You don't need to figure that out before we speak.
The Coaching Process
Completely. I don't use templates. Every program is built from scratch based on your goals, your training history, your schedule, your equipment access, and your life. As things change — and they always do — your program changes with them.
For online and hybrid coaching, we do weekly check-ins — either via video call or written update, depending on your preference. These aren't just progress reviews; they're conversations about what's working, what isn't, and how to adjust. For in-person clients, we connect at every session.
I take a habit-based, education-first approach to nutrition — not calorie counting or rigid meal plans. We work on building sustainable eating habits that support your training and your life. I'm not a registered dietitian, so for clinical nutrition needs I'll refer you to the right professional.
That's exactly the kind of thing we plan for. Your program is built to be flexible — I'll give you hotel room options, minimal equipment alternatives, and guidance on how to adjust when life gets unpredictable. Consistency doesn't mean rigidity.
Commitment & Results
It depends on what you mean by results. Most clients notice improvements in energy, sleep, and mood within the first few weeks. Physical changes typically become visible within 8–12 weeks of consistent training. But the results I'm most proud of — the ones that last — take longer. We're building a lifestyle, not chasing a deadline.
I ask for a genuine commitment to the process — not a specific number of months. That said, meaningful change takes time, and I'd encourage you to think in terms of at least 3–6 months to build real momentum. We'll talk about this during the consultation.
I hear this a lot. Usually, it didn't work because the program wasn't built around your actual life — or because the focus was on short-term results instead of long-term habits. That's exactly what we do differently. I'd love to hear your experience and show you what a different approach looks like.
Logistics
It depends on your goals and what you have access to. I can build programs for a fully equipped gym, a home gym, or minimal equipment. We'll figure out what you're working with during the consultation and design accordingly.
In-person sessions are held at a local training facility. Location details are provided after the consultation. If you're outside the area, online or hybrid coaching is a great alternative.
